AIP Signed a Declaration Calling for Justice for Daphne Caruana Galizia

Access to Information Programme is among 36 freedom of expression and information groups which have denounced the Maltese government’s lack of ambition and transparency in press freedom reforms and renewed calls for full justice for Daphne Caruana Galizia.

The initiative was developed by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF). It states that "Impunity serves to embolden those who use violence to silence critical journalism and it ends only when all those responsible for the heinous murder have been prosecuted to the full extent of the law: all the potential intermediaries and mastermind(s) must be brought to justice."

The statement was published on the web sites and social media of the supporting organizations on 16th of Oct. 2022.
